VOTE to continue the Legacy of Tale of Two Cities!

Everton Park

We need your vote!
Vote in Tesco stores up to 13th November to help us secure a fantastic Tesco  grant for Building a Northern Flowerhouse.

Wildflowers were first sown in Everton Park, Liverpool in spring 2015 as part of our Tale of Two Cities Project.  The park is now World famous and images of the wildflowers have been seen as far afield as China, New York and Mexico. The park also inspired a special ‘River of Flowers’ Project in Warsaw.

We will put together a unique cultural package for the local community.  This would include engaging artists and musicians to facilitate exciting new art projects, music workshops, poetry writing sessions, screen-printing workshops and other events to excite and engage local children in the project.

Over the past two years we have built up a network of local and national artists who are eager to help the project, but we need further funding to make this possible.  We are building a Northern Flowerhouse of which Everton would be the heart of alongside our Manchester heartlands too which we hope many more people will hear about and come and be inspired by.

Tesco has teamed up with Groundwork on its Bags of Help initiative in hundreds of regions across England and Wales. The scheme will see three community groups and projects in each of these regions awarded grants of £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 – all raised from the 5p bag charge.  Bags of Help offers community groups and projects in each of Tesco’s 416 regions across the UK a share of revenue generated from the 5p charge levied on single-use carrier bags. The public will now vote in store from 31st October – 13th November on who should receive the £12,000, £10,000 and £8,000 awards. In total, there is over £12.5 million up for grabs.
